Eleven Ways To Get Repeat Traffic To Your Website
1. Make sure the pages on your website are updated frequently. Most search engines will drop websites that are not updated on a regular basis. One idea is to add a date counter to your main page to show the last update.
2. You should keep your website simple to ensure that your prospects can easily navigate between the various pages, discover what they are looking for, and then buy whatever services or products you are offering.
3. Provide added value on your site. Place links to partner and affiliate websites and their products and request that they return the favor. Another approach is to also advertise their videos or eBooks if their offerings are related to your industry but not in competition with the products you are selling.
4. Permit prospects to "opt in" in order to receive special offers and/or discounts. This is done by placing a link on your site which directs them to a sign-up form inviting them to "opt in" to receive valuable coupons or a periodic newsletter.
5. Utilize a link on your primary page to a script which will "Add This Site To Your Favorites" or "Book Mark This Page". These scripts are readily available for free on the internet.
6. Another link which may be added is "Recommend This Site To A Friend" which allows your visitor to email the link to your website with a predone title such as "Here's Something I Thought You Might Be Interested In", simply by clicking on it. Again, the technology to do this is available free on the internet.
7. Ensure that your visitors always know they are on your website. Establish your brand by using a consistent look and feel (colors, design, slogans and logos). You should always provide contact information on every page.
8. Post a privacy policy so that prospects and customers know they are secure when visiting your website. The privacy policy could be incorporated into an "Our Policies" page which defines clearly your principles and philosophies in customer dealings.
9. Include a FAQ page that lists many of the questions and explanations related to your products, guarantees, or your organization that are likely to come up. This can help to pre-answer most of the customers questions when they first visit your site.
10. You should be sure that each of your website pages has appropriate and easily remembered keywords and titles so your prospects can return to your site if they should happen to lose the link or bookmark.
11. Never ever spam a customer, who has opted in for you newsletter, with unsolicited emails. If they decide at a later date that they want to "opt out" of your mailings, make sure their request is honored and remove them from the mailing list. They might still come back if they like your products. However, there is no chance they will come back if you persist in flooding their email box with unwanted mailings.
Following the above steps will provide excellent incentives for your website visitors to remain loyal to your company.
